DAVID DRAWING THE TEMPLE
oil on canvas, 60x60 inches, representational

And King David wished to build a House for God in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah above the place called Zion where the Tabernacle stood. God told David every detail of the Temple plan and David recorded all, but God told him that his son Solomon would build it because he had been a warrior.

THE FIRST TEMPLE
oil on canvas, 60x60 inches, surrealism

Solomon built the House of God according to the plan his father David gave him. The Temple consisted of three stacked chambers with curved ceilings. They were connected by two curving staircases which were constructed inside of "the porch", that also contained two enormous bronze doors. The first level, the House was 20x60x60 cubits; the second level, the Temple was 20x40x40 cubits and the third level, The Holy of Holies held the Ark of the Covenant and was 20x20x20 cubits. A cubit is 20.76 inches. Overall the Temple stood about twenty stories tall and was covered in gold leaf.
