"Sunrise On The Shore"60x78 Pointillism, Acrylic on canvas 1992
In 1992 Marc Rubin accepted the invitation of art patrons Scott and Jay Canel to be a public resident guest artist in Winnetka, Illinois. Other collectors of Marc's works requested that Marc make a Pointillist work to be sent on loan to then President Bill Clinton. That painting is "Sunrise On The Shore" which took one year to complete. It is considered to be Rubin's finest work in Synchronistic Pointillism (to date). The style, Synchronism, was invented by Rubin in 1977 to define the combination of 2 or more distinct styles of painting in one work.
